Eventually, I would love to start my very own "swaps", offer some kits and create some tutorial videos. I want to play like the "Big Kids", Laura Dennison from Following the Paper Trail, Kathryn from LifeontheScrapBeach, Steff from With a Grin and of course Marion Smith from apieceofcraft.com - They are sooo creative!! Those ladies are my Heroes!....but...baby steps :o)
So, a little about me? While I would love to say that I earn my living scrapbooking..and maybe one day I will..but the sad truth is that I do have a normal 9 to 5 job. I like to refer to my job as doing what I have to do to support my scrap habit!
I discovered scrapbooking about 5 years ago. My very first project was a scrapbook I made for my boyfriend of his 8 week European trip. I created that album and haven't stopped since. I started making albums as gifts for friends and family. Everyone told me that I should sell my albums...but I was hesitant at first. Then I thought, why not? I didn't really know where to start and quiet frankly, Ebay scares me. So I did some research and discovered Etsy.com. It was very easy and relatively inexpensive to open my "shop". They also have a very supportive community of shop owners who are always willing to help with questions/issues. My shop is called MyScrapDesk. I offer pre-made layouts, mini albums and custom designed albums. You can visit my shop at www.myscrapdesk.etsy.com.
Enough about me....let's have some fun. Why don't we share some ideas? What projects are you working on? Do you have any tips or hints that you'd like to share? What do you love about scrapbooking? Leave me a comment or post a picture of your latest creation. I'd love to see it and hear your ideas.
Here's a couple of pictures of one of my most recent mini albums. It's made out of recycled envelopes. I think it's so cute. Lots of bling and flowers and pretty colors. I'd love to hear what you think!

Phewww....I feel so much better now that I've gotten the first blog posting out of the way! I am so looking forward to getting to know others that share my passion! I'm sure we'll be fast friends!
So long for now!
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
